V3 Systems Begins Selling VMware Virtualization and Cloud Infrastructure Software in Its Virtual Desktop Appliances

SALT LAKE CITY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–New desktop virtualization company V3 Systems announced today through an embedded OEM partnership with VMware that it can ship VMware virtualization and cloud infrastructure software embedded in its V3 line of appliances. This agreement allows V3 Systems customers to use their V3 appliances right out of the box, reducing the time of deployment and simplifying implementation.

VMware embedded OEM partners can easily and rapidly bundle VMware products into their solutions, enabling them to leverage the benefits of these industry-leading virtualization and cloud offerings. VMware solutions provide partners more control of virtualized deployments, tailored to their specific go-to-market and ongoing post-sales support preferences.

“Embedding industry-leading VMware technology empowers companies such as V3 Systems to increase the value their solutions provide to customers,” said Bernie Mills, senior director, embedded OEM alliances, VMware. “By partnering with VMware, V3 Systems can expedite VDI deployments and also provide enhanced customer support on the combined solution direct to their customers.”

V3 Systems is one of the newest entrants into the virtualization market and has revolutionized the industry with the release of its V3 line of appliances: a series of five drop-in appliances that can support between 50-400 virtual desktops that are faster than native desktops on a single appliance, eliminating the need for companies to deploy a separate SAN and data center for their VDI environments.

Using its proprietary Optimized Technologies™, V3 Systems is able to deliver desktop-grade replacement virtual machines that are faster than local PCs. V3’s Optimized Technologies work in conjunction with the virtual machine hypervisor to optimize the hardware platform for the fastest possible virtual desktop experience.

“We’re excited to be partnering with VMware and delivering its solutions in our products directly to the customer,” said V3 Systems’ CEO, Peter Bookman. “This agreement enables us to expedite the implementations of virtual desktop environments for our customers, as well as support their technical needs directly so they can have the best possible experience using both technologies.”
